Official NDOW falconry license instruction sheet (SLAP 22.72/99).
Exam & minimum age
Exam: 80% to pass. Supervised exam supplied or approved by USFWS and administered by NDOW; failed exams carry a 30-day waiting period before retake. New residents may substitute a copy of their previous state's license.
Minimum age: 14 — Nevada is stricter than the federal floor: apprentice licensees must be at least 14 (NAC 503.240).
Classes: Apprentice → General → Master
Birds by class & trapping
Apprentice (14+): one raptor — American kestrel, red-tailed hawk or red-shouldered hawk only. General (18+, 2 apprentice years): up to two raptors. Master (5 general years): up to three raptors. A sponsor may take at most three apprentices at once.
Capture and acquisition require numbered non-reusable markers; raptors taken from the wild in Nevada cannot leave the state permanently until held one year (or with the falconer's domicile move).
Notes from the official sources
Pre-license equipment inspection is mandatory: Aylmeri-type jesses, weathering-resistant leash and swivel, bathing container (2–6 in deep, wider than the bird), weathering area with perch, and a scale graduated in ≤½ oz / 15 g steps. A hunting license is required to fly at game species.

Getting geared up in Nevada?
Most states' equipment inspection lists overlap heavily — Aylmeri jesses, a weathering-resistant leash and swivel, a bath pan, a weathering perch and a graduated scale.
